It is your responsibility to know if your insurance plan requires a referral to see a specialist. Except for urgent, same-day specialist visits, we require 3 to 5 business days to process a referral, and we cannot back date referrals. To initiate a request send a portal message during regular business hours and select the referral menu option. In your message, please include:
- Patient’s name & birth date
- Insurance plan & ID number
- Name & type of specialist
- Appointment date & time
- Diagnosis or reason for the consultation
